Jonathan Tran

Jonathan Tran has a strong background in software engineering, with experience in multiple roles and companies. Jonathan started their career as a Custom Solutions Intern at ScienceLogic in 2013, where they wrote code to generate reports in PHP and Python. Jonathan then worked as a Software Developer at VirtualU from 2013 to 2015, where they managed a team and focused on processing scan data and generating 3D models.

In 2016, Jonathan joined Amazon Web Services as a Software Development Engineer, where they built an internal product that provided metadata across the company. Jonathan also revamped an internal testing reporting service. During their time at Amazon Web Services, they gained proficiency in various programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, and Ruby.

From 2015 to 2016, Jonathan worked as a Software Developer at ByteCubed, and in 2019, they joined Capital One as a Senior Software Engineer. At Capital One, they developed an application to analyze S3 data inventory files, utilizing event-driven architecture and integrating with various technologies such as Kafka, DataLake, and Snowflake.

Most recently, in 2023, Jonathan joined Lavender as a Software Engineer.

Jonathan Tran completed their high school education at Westfield High School from 2006 to 2010. Jonathan then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Virginia Tech from 2010 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the certification of Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2021.
