Adam Fletcher is a Senior Policy Lawyer at the Law Council of Australia since February 2023, following a position as a Lecturer at RMIT University from August 2017 to February 2023. Prior to that, Adam served as a PhD Candidate at Monash University from January 2013 to August 2017 and managed the Accountability Project at the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law from July 2011 to July 2017. Adam's legal experience includes roles as a Legal Officer at the Victorian Equal Opportunity & Human Rights Commission for a brief period in early 2012, and at the Attorney-General's Department in Canberra from February 2006 to June 2011. Additionally, Adam worked as a Legal Adviser for the Association for the Prevention of Torture in Geneva from September 2009 to December 2010 and was an intern at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for a short time in 2005. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws/BA in International Studies from the University of Technology Sydney and a Master of Public and International Law from the University of Melbourne.
