David Shaughnessy

David Shaughnessy has extensive experience in financial management, currently serving as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since February 2003. In this role, David is responsible for developing and managing business and financial strategies within the CFO Organization, overseeing key financial divisions such as Budget and Strategic Partnership Projects. David previously held the position of Chief Resource Manager for the Operations and Business Principal Directorate, managing a budget exceeding $180M and supervising various organizational units. Earlier roles include Manager of Matrixed Financial Services and financial analyst positions within LLNL. Prior to LLNL, David was the Manager of Financial Planning & Control at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. David holds a Master of Arts in Political Science/Public Administration from St. John's University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a second major in History from Old Dominion University.
