Jack Davis is a Staff Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since June 2019, focusing on innovative reactor designs that convert carbon dioxide into valuable chemicals and products. Previously, Jack served as a U.S. Embassy Science Fellow in Reykjavik, Iceland, where advisory roles involved assisting stakeholders in decarbonizing maritime transportation. Academic experiences include working as a Graduate Researcher at Columbia University from September 2014 to April 2019, concentrating on solar energy conversion into storable "solar fuels" through water electrolysis, and as a Graduate Intern at Shell, engaging in simulations of reactor designs for solar fuel production. Jack holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
