Johanna Schwartz

Johanna Schwartz is a Staff Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since September 2019, specializing in the development of next-generation polymer and composite materials utilizing additive manufacturing technologies. Prior to this role, Johanna served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from August 2018 to August 2019, and as a Graduate Student Researcher under Professor AJ Boydston during the transition of labs. Johanna earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2018-2019) and also completed a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Washington (2014-2018), where extensive research focused on stimuli-responsive polymers for additive manufacturing applications. Early research experiences include fellowships and internships at Bard College at Simon's Rock, Northwestern University, and the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
