Russell Paul

Russell Paul joined Lawyers for Civil Rights (LCR) as the Senior BizGrow Attorney for LCR | BizGrow in 2022. In this role, Russell helps provide minority, immigrant, and women entrepreneurs with free legal assistance and technical support. As part of his role, Russell spearheads BizGrow’s expanding work across Massachusetts and into Rhode Island and helps advocate for systematic changes to the current legal system to empower small businesses.

Russell joined LCR | BizGrow after three years working as the Nonprofit Assistance Manager at Lawyers Clearinghouse, where he provided small non-profit organizations educational seminars and helped facilitate free legal assistance.

Russell received the prestigious Beacon Award from the Boston Bar Association for his groundbreaking work providing free legal support to struggling non-profit organizations at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Russell earned his BA in history with honors from the University of Connecticut. He is a 2018 graduate of Northeastern University School of Law. During Law School, Russell interned at Lawyers for Civil Rights and was a member of Northeastern’s Community Business Clinic where he provided free, business-related legal services to startups, entrepreneurs, and small businesses.
