Emily McIntyre

Emily McIntyre has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Their most recent position was as a Community Manager at Layla starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at CCRW | CCRT from October 2019 to September 2021, where they served as the Lead Researcher in the Business Solutions Department, overseeing strategic planning, research and program evaluation, and research consulting projects.

Emily also worked at York University from January 2018 to March 2020, holding two roles. First, as the Dr. Daly Research Program Coordinator, they managed and coordinated multiple research projects, handled communication and knowledge translation, and was responsible for finance and reporting. Additionally, they served as a Graduate Assistant, contributing to research and knowledge translation efforts related to disability rights.

Earlier in their career, Emily held positions at Isla Verde, Precise Solutions, Wildcat Adventure Race, and Queenstown Resort College. Then, from 2016 to 2017, they pursued a Master of Arts degree specializing in Health Policy with a focus on Disability studies at York University. Apart from their formal education, Emily also obtained additional certifications. In 2014, they successfully completed the Travel Counsellor Exam offered by TICO, and in 2011, they obtained a TEFL 140 Hours Certificate from the i-to-i Online TEFL institution.
