Adam Newsome serves as the CEO and is responsible for overseeing all facets of Lazer Logistics. As one of the original founders of Lazer in 1996, he played a key role in establishing the values embedded in the organization today. His latest passion projects for the company included the revitalizing of company culture and improving the environmental impact of Lazer, through projects like the deployment of electric trucks.
After graduating Law School at the University of Tennessee, Adam spent three years working as a lawyer and successfully building relationships at a private practice firm. He returned to Lazer to fill the role of President in 2003. During his tenure in Lazer leadership, the company has grown from 100 employees to nearly 5,000 employees. He was named Chief Operating Officer in 2012 and CEO in 2014. He has helped oversee the growth of the business into the leading North American logistics company focused on transitioning goods between primary modes of transportation.
