George Ellis

George Ellis has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. George currently holds the position of Vice President of Innovation at Lean Focus, a role they started in September 2022. Prior to this, George founded Better Knowledge Works, LLC in 2019.

In 2021, they worked as the VP of Business Operating System for New Product Development & Introduction at PHC Holdings Corporation, before transitioning to the role of VP of Envista Business Systems Office (EBSO) Innovation at Envista Holdings Corporation in 2019, a position they served until November 2021.

George also has experience as a Vice President at Danaher Dental Group, where they were involved in leading innovation efforts from March to September 2019. In addition, they held the position of Vice President of Global Engineering at X-Rite from October 2015 to December 2018.

Prior to X-Rite, George worked at Kollmorgen, a Danaher operating company, where they held the position of Vice President of Engineering for Industrial Automation EU from August 2012 to September 2015. Before that, they served as the Director of Kollmorgen Test Engineering, leading a team of 11 engineers.

Throughout their career, George has demonstrated expertise in various fields, including innovation, engineering, and business operating systems.

George Ellis attended Virginia Tech from 1977 to 1983, where they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Additionally, they also obtained a Master's degree in the same field from Virginia Tech between 1977 and 1980.
