Federico Vargas DBA, PMP®, MPM, MBF has a diverse work experience. Federico Vargas began their career in 2011 as the CEO and GM of GE 360. In 2012, they joined the Project Management Institute as a member of the Nomination Committee (NomCom) Advisory Board, PMBOK Guide 7th Edition Core Development Team, GAC Onsite improvement Team, Director of the Global Accreditation Center (GAC) and Board Member of the PMI REP Advisory Group. In 2013, they began working as a Visiting Professor at UNITEC Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana. In 2014, they became an Evangelist & Speaker at TALENTUMFEST. In 2016, they joined the Escuela de Postgrado UTP as a Member of the Industry Advisory Council and Visiting Professor. In 2017, they became the Lead Organizer of Lean Startup Machine. In 2018, they started working as a Visiting Associate Professor at Universidad Espíritu Santo. In 2019, they joined PMO GLOBAL ALLIANCE as a PMO Global Awards Judge. In 2020, they began working as a Trainer at Asociación Iberoamericana de Scrum AIBE.S and as an Entrepreneurship Program Mentor at AUGE-UCR.

Federico Vargas DBA, PMP®, MPM, MBF has an extensive education history. Federico Vargas obtained their High School Diploma from Colegio Seminario in 1995 and a High School degree from Colegio Salesiano Don Bosco in 1992-1993. Federico Vargas then went on to obtain a Licenciatura in Ingenieria Civil from Universidad de Costa Rica UCR in 1996-2001. In 2004, they obtained a Master in Project Management from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. In 2006-2007, they obtained a Master in Bank & Finance from IEB. In 2011-2014, they obtained a Doctor in Business (DBA) from University of Liverpool in Organizational Leadership. Federico Vargas is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Project Management at Alma Mater Europaea, which they are set to complete in 2022. Federico Vargas also has numerous certifications, such as PMP®, MPM, MBF, and Agile Expert Certified (AEC).
