Lazlo Ring's work experience includes various roles at different companies. Lazlo started as a Research Assistant at Stony Brook University in 2007 and then worked as an Intern/Consultant at Actor Machine from 2008 to 2009. Lazlo then joined Northeastern University in 2009 and worked as a Research Assistant at the Relational Agents Group until 2017. During this time, they were involved in projects related to cognitive behavioral therapy and developed a theoretical framework for using empathic statements in counseling. Afterwards, Lazlo became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Relational Agents Group, where they designed research studies and mentored graduate students in study design principles. In 2018, Lazlo joined Ultraleap as a Software Applications Engineer, working on a project called Crystal Cave, where they developed a two-player collaborative VR experience. Lazlo then progressed to the role of Senior Software Engineer and is currently a Principal Engineer at Ultraleap.
Lazlo Ring received their B.S. in Computer Science/Psychology from Stony Brook University in 2009. Lazlo went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Human Computer Interactions at Northeastern University from 2009 to 2017. In 2007, Lazlo also briefly attended New York University, but no degree or field of study is specified.
