Shadi Abu Surra

Shadi Abu Surra has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Shadi started their career at the University of Arizona, where they conducted research from 2005 to 2009. After that, they worked at Samsung Telecommunications America as a Senior Engineer from 2009 to 2013. Shadi then joined Samsung Research America - Dallas as a Staff Engineer from 2013 to 2016. Shadi then moved to PHAZR (Acquired by JMA Wireless) as a Principal Engineer from 2016 to 2019. Shadi returned to Samsung Research America as a Sr. Staff Engineer from 2019 to 2022. Following this, they joined Samsung Research America (SRA) as the Lead Modem System Design/Architecture from 2022 to 2023. Shadi is currently working as a Principal Engineer at LeapFrog Semiconductor, Inc. starting from 2023.

Shadi Abu Surra has an extensive education history in the field of engineering and communications. From 1996 to 2003, they attended Jami'at Al-Ulum wa Al-Tiknolojia Al-Urdunia, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree followed by a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering.

Following their studies in Jordan, Shadi pursued further education at the University of Arizona from 2004 to 2009. During this time, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Communications and Digital Signal Processing Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Shadi has also obtained several certifications. In May 2020, they completed the "Leadership Principles for Scientists, Engineers, and Researchers" program offered by MIT xPRO. They also recently acquired the certification in "Quantum Computing Fundamentals" from the same institution in December 2019.
