Renk Kocturk

Renk Kocturk has a diverse work experience in the field of trauma-informed facilitation, creative arts therapy, yoga instruction, and teaching in various organizations. They have worked as a Contemplative Facilitator at Charlie Health, where they conducted integrative therapy sessions. They also served as a Trauma Informed Facilitator/Educator Trainer, organizing and leading trainings in trauma-informed facilitation for over 800 participants worldwide. Renk has also worked as a Trauma Informed Creative Arts Therapy Facilitator and Programming Consultant at Columbia University and as a Communications Lead and Teaching Artist/Trainer at Crossing Point Arts. They have experience as a Children's Yoga Instructor, a Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher, and a Lead Teaching Artist in different organizations. Additionally, Renk has worked as a Program Assistant at Turkish Philanthropy Funds and as a Mindful Movement/Yoga Teacher at Center For Discovery. They have been actively involved in creating trauma-responsive and inclusive spaces, incorporating various techniques like mindfulness, somatic healing practices, and meditation.

Renk Kocturk obtained a Bachelor's degree in Dance and Psychology (Trauma Lab) from The New School between 2011 and 2015. In 2017, Renk completed Yoga alignment & Yoga therapy training at Gaia Yogashala & Luna Alignment Yoga. Renk also received training in Trauma Informed Yoga Teaching through Exhale to Inhale in 2018. Additionally, Renk received training at Crossing Point Arts in 2018 for teaching artists working with survivors of human trafficking. Renk further pursued studies in a body-oriented approach to trauma and stress disorders through Somatic Experiencing with Peter Levine starting in 2021. Lastly, Renk completed Yoga Teacher Training in Children's Yoga through Kidding Around Yoga in 2015.
