Duncan Cheatle

Founder/CEO at Learn Amp

Duncan Cheatle has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2003, they founded and became the Chairman of The Supper Club, an organization that supports the personal and business growth of innovative founders and CEOs. Duncan also co-founded StartUp Britain in 2011 and served as a co-founder until 2018.

In 2013, Cheatle founded and served as the CEO of Rise To, a mentoring platform that supported young entrepreneurs. Duncan was also an Advisory Board Member at both the University of Sheffield Management School and the Demeter Entrepreneurs Support Network during the same period.

Cheatle became involved with the Start Up Loans Company in 2012, initially as a Non-Executive Director and later as the Chairman of the Advisory Board. This organization provided loans and support to aspiring entrepreneurs. Additionally, Cheatle was a Pledger at Founders Pledge, a charitable organization for tech founders, beginning in 2016.

Since 2017, Cheatle has been the Founder and CEO of Learn Amp, a company focused on reinventing workplace learning, engagement, and performance management. Learn Amp has received numerous industry awards for their Learning Experience platform.

In terms of board memberships, Cheatle joined the Chartered Management Institute's Board of Companions in 2018. This role allows him to contribute to the professional development of managers and leaders.

Lastly, in 2009, Cheatle founded the Social Enterprise Challenge, an innovative enterprise training program that provided business skills online. This venture lasted until 2015 and aimed to campaign for a good cause while also developing participants' skills.

Duncan Cheatle attended Cass Business School from 1987 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with honors in Business Studies. In addition to their degree, they also hold the certifications of FCA (Fellow Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales) and FRSA (Fellow Royal Society for the encouragement of arts, manufacture and commerce).
