Laura Zwickl has a diverse work experience spanning over 27 years. Laura most recently worked at Learning A-Z as a Learning Program Manager / Instructional Designer. Prior to that, they held various roles at Learning A-Z, including Product Training Manager, Product Manager, Product Marketing Manager, and Topic Editor. Before joining Learning A-Z, Laura worked as an Instructional Learning Coach at Lawrence Public Schools, where they provided instructional support and professional development to classroom teachers and certified instructional support staff. Laura also worked as a Kindergarten Teacher at Durham Public Schools and Manor Independent School District. Laura's early teaching experience includes being a 3rd Grade Bilingual Teacher at Sunnyside Unified School District. Additionally, they gained marketing and communication experience through a College Program Internship at Walt Disney World.
Laura Zwickl earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, where they studied from 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1995, they pursued an Elementary Education degree specializing in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instruction at the University of Arizona. Additionally, they participated in a Spanish Immersion Program at the University of Arizona - Guadalajara, starting in 1995.
Laura Zwickl has also obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2022, they completed the ATD Virtual Instructional Design Certificate offered by the Association for Talent Development. In 2021, they received certifications in Building and Managing a High-Performing Sales Team and Instructional Design: Adult Learners from LinkedIn. In 2020, they completed a certification in Increasing Engagement with Elearning Programs, also from LinkedIn. In 2018, they obtained the Pragmatic Certified Product Manager certification from Pragmatic Institute. Lastly, they renewed their National Board Certified Teacher certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in 2007.
