What this role is about

We’re looking for an amazing pioneer as part of the founder team!

We are seeking a multi-talented Co-Founder and General Manager to take ownership of creating and co-leading the initial years of operation. In time, the hub will expand and grow to 500 students.

This project started in autumn 2023 and you can join us asap in 2024. The vision is to have over 500 learners and be a lighthouse for passion-based and lifelong learning, inspiring and supporting the transformation of the german education landscape.

This person will need to be 100% aware of the new learning paradigm and use this awareness to bring it to life in the Munich context.

  • The Visionary and Founder of the Munich Learning Hub who has a track record in opening schools in Munich and starting businesses.

  • A global team of supporters and trainers who will be available to help steer the journey.

What you will do

This role will be responsible for co-creating, establishing and running the business of the Learning Hub.

  • You bring a vision into reality and are a strategic sparring partner

  • You set the roadmap for pre-launch and project manage it leveraging previous business start-up experience.

  • You manage and oversee the daily business of the company and the work of its people (Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Legal, IT, HR).

  • You have strong skills in relationship building with authorities, business leaders, foundations, universities, parents, investors, suppliers and other stakeholders.

  • You are in charge of the business strategy, roadmap planning and executing.

  • You will set clear and precise performance and growth objectives and drive the organization towards them with excellent business acumen.

  • You co-lead fundraising efforts presenting the business plan and leverage contacts to access funding together with the founder.

  • You establish systems and policies that promote company culture and vision.

  • You lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.

  • You evaluate the organization’s performance and growth by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.

What you will bring

  • A track record of minimum 5-10 years in establishing and executing business plans as CEO/COO, Finance Manager or Head of Operations.

  • You bring a background as an entrepreneur building companies from scratch or in venture capital.

  • You have a degree in finance, law or business administration - OR you can show an equivalent self-learning path.

  • You are a great communicator in German and English and have worked cross-culturally.

  • You excel at making things happen and have a great passion for social impact ventures, especially our mission and positive education.

  • You enjoy building and scaling an organization and holding things together.

  • You thrive in fast-paced, changing, complex environments where agility and resilience are required.

  • You are highly accountable and trustworthy, loyalty being one of your features.

  • You are comfortable working both hands-on and at a strategic level.

  • You bring experience leading teams and are a servant leader who is great at getting the best out of people.
