Carmel O'Brien

Carmel O'Brien has extensive work experience in finance, accounting, and project management. Carmel started as an Office Administrator at Gilmartins Insurance Brokers in 2002. Later, in 2008, they joined KPMG as an Audit Senior for four years, where they worked in different sectors and led audit teams. In 2012, they joined Google as a Finance and Accounting Analyst, responsible for EMEA Regional Lead and managing various projects supporting business units. Carmel moved to Facebook in 2014 as a Revenue Accounting Manager, where they supported international regions and oversaw the invoicing process for International billing. In 2018, Facebook assigned their to move to Singapore to support the APAC local billing launch. After Facebook, Carmel joined Partners in Performance as a Senior Revenue Manager, responsible for driving the revenue growth strategy. Currently, they are working as a Senior Revenue Manager at LearnUpon, responsible for ensuring revenue growth for the company. Moreover, Carmel also has experience in accounting and project management, as Accounting and project management in Irish NGO at Camara.

Carmel O'Brien completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Galway in 2007. Carmel then pursued a Masters of Accounting degree at the University College Dublin in 2007-2008. Carmel later completed their Chartered Accountancy degree at Chartered Accountants Ireland from 2008-2012.
