MacKenzie Shand

Mackenzie Shand is an experienced volleyball professional currently serving as the Director of Volleyball Operations at Utah State University since February 2023. With a history of involvement in various capacities within the sport, Mackenzie has been a Technical Coordinator for the National Volleyball Association since May 2021, managing data for all twelve NVA teams. Additionally, Mackenzie has a longstanding role as a Camp Counselor at Legacy Volleyball Club, guiding young athletes in their development. Previous experience includes serving as Assistant Volleyball Coach at Kenyon College and Graduate Assistant at Springfield College, where responsibilities included practice organization, strategy formulation, and athlete recruitment. Further coaching roles span from Huron Valley Volleyball Club to Saline High School, along with a brief tenure as Volunteer Video Coordinator at the University of Michigan. Mackenzie holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Washington and Lee University and two Master of Education degrees in Physical Education—Advanced Level Coaching and Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from Springfield College.
