Ghina Al-Sewaidi has extensive experience in the legal field. Ghina began their career as a Sole Practitioner in 1997, representing clients in family, criminal, and immigration matters. Ghina developed a business plan to grow their practice and utilized technology to streamline workflow processes. In 2011, they joined Legal Aid Ontario's Family Law Service Centre as a Staff Lawyer, where they provided legal assistance until 2016. During their time at Legal Aid Ontario, Ghina Al-Sewaidi held the position of Lawyer/Manager. Ghina represented clients in complex cases, exceeded financial and operational goals, and actively participated in various working groups. Ghina then joined Legal Aid Saskatchewan in 2021 as the Director of Legal Services, overseeing criminal and family law cases and managing the legal and administrative operations of the office. In 2022, Ghina Al-Sewaidi returned to Legal Aid Ontario as the Manager of Toronto Family Law Services, responsible for managing client service operations and implementing a new service provider center model. Ghina currently holds the role of Legal Counsel, Litigation and Compliance in the General Counsel Office at Legal Aid Ontario.

Ghina Al-Sewaidi's education history is as follows:

From 1989 to 1992, Ghina attended the University of Ottawa and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Law.

In 2003, they enrolled at York University and completed a program in Alternative Dispute Resolution, though the degree obtained is not specified.

In 1987 and 1988, Ghina pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Petroleum Law at the University of Dundee.

Ghina previously attended the University of Buckingham from 1983 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Law.

Ghina became a member of the Law Society of Ontario in February 1996.

Ghina also obtained additional certifications, including becoming a family mediator for the Government of Saskatchewan in August 2021. In April 2021, Ghina was a past member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan.

Currently, Ghina is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. Ghina is also pursuing their education at the Law Society of Saskatchewan, starting in 2021.
