Ashlei Taylor Schulz

Ashlei Taylor Schulz is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience advocating for low-income individuals and families. As a Supervising Attorney at Legal Aid DC since April 2019, Ashlei has represented tenants in eviction and housing condition cases in DC Superior Court, successfully authoring and arguing numerous motions. Prior experience includes serving as a Staff Attorney at the Homeless Action Center, where Ashlei provided representation in public benefit matters, and as the President & Principal Mediator at Transitions for Life Mediation, focusing on family law matters. Additional roles encompassed media production at organizations such as WEAA 88.9 FM and WYPR, and earlier legal positions, including an attorney role at Douglas & Boykin, PLLC. Ashlei holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BS in Marketing from the University of Maryland.
