Anthea Platt SC is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Chairperson of the Disciplinary Committee at the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors and as a Minister's delegate and Deputy Chair at the Legal Practice Council, Anthea also co-founded Basadi Ba Molao Education and Training Services (Pty) Ltd, which focuses on empowering women in the legal profession through education and training. Anthea founded Basadi Ba Molao, a sister circle promoting networking among professional women in law. Additional roles include Chairperson of the Tax Board at the South African Revenue Service, Commissioner at the South African Law Reform Commission, Panelist at the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa, and Advocacy Trainer at the Johannesburg Bar Council. Anthea possesses a diverse educational background, including an LLM in Transnational Commercial Practice and a Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution, complemented by a Bachelor of Commerce and LLB from the University of the Western Cape.
