Jocelyn Rome (Smith)

Jocelyn Rome (Smith) has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Jocelyn currently serves as the Head of People and Culture at Legal&Tax Services (Pty) Ltd, starting in May 2022. Prior to this, Jocelyn worked as an Independent Development Consultant and Owner at JS & Associates from January 1998 to March 2011. Their responsibilities included research, project documentation and evaluation, consulting, and project management in the development sector, with a specialization in small and micro enterprise development. Before that, they held the position of National Director at the Continuing Education Programme from December 1995 to April 1998.

Jocelyn Rome (Smith) attended Northview High School in Johannesburg but did not receive a degree. Later, they pursued their higher education at the University of the Witwatersrand. From 1984 to 2018, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and received several diplomas, including a Higher Diploma in Education (H Dip Ed), a Higher Diploma in Adult Education (H Dip Ed Adults), and a Master's in Management (M-Management). Their areas of study encompassed management, education, and adult education.
