Joselyn Whetzel-Roy (She)

Joselyn Whetzel-Roy has had a diverse work experience, beginning in 2003 as a Recreational Therapist (C.T.R.S.) for the UVA Health System - Psychiatric Services. In 2004, they took on a similar role as a Recreational Therapist for the UVA Health System - Children's Hospital. In 2008, they moved into the educational sector as a Professional School Counselor - Virginia Licensed Prek-12 Professional School Counselor for Albemarle County Public Schools. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as an Area Director for ExploreLearning, where they were responsible for improving student learning in math and science through best-in-class online solutions. Most recently, they have been serving as the Sr Director of District Partnerships and Strategic Lead Generation for Legends of Learning.

Joselyn Whetzel-Roy obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from James Madison University between 1998 and 2002. Joselyn then earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Eastern Mennonite University between 2006 and 2008. Joselyn also holds a School Counselor certification.
