Marie Barberet

Manager, Proposals and Grants at Legends of Learning

Marie Barberet has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. Marie began their career as a Community Economic Development Volunteer and Business Advisor/Trainer for the Peace Corps. In 2012, they became a Development Assistant for the Alliance to Save Energy. From 2013 - 2014, they were an Employment Specialist for Catholic Charities Migration & Refugee Services and Goodwill Industries. Marie then moved on to become a Business Development Assistant at Social Impact, where they supported the development process for proposals submitted to USAID and MCC. In 2016, they became an Exchange Student Local Representative and Operations Coordinator for Forte International Exchange Association (FIEA). In 2017, they were a Proposal Coordinator for TRI-STATE BUILDING SERVICE, INC. From 2018 - 2021, they held the role of Proposal Manager at Kelly Services and Consultant/Government Grant Writer and Sr. Manager, Government Grant Writer at Per Scholas. Currently, they are a Manager, Proposals and Grants at Legends of Learning.

Marie Barberet obtained a Graduate Certificate in Professional Writing from Radford University in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Management with a focus on Sustainable Development from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in 2012. Marie also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting and Business/Management from Bryant University in 2007.
