Bastian Sanchez

Bastian Sanchez has a diverse work experience beginning in 2012 as a Shop Intern at Studio Gang. In 2017, they worked as an IT Intern at Orion Industries Ltd, providing Tier 1 desktop support for an office of 30+ employees and working directly with the Chairman, President, and HR manager on multiple office wide projects. In 2018, they were an IT Infrastructure Support Associate at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they were a Tier 3 Point of Contact for Network and Communication issues across the UIUC campus, a Point of Contact for Pinnacle Database tickets, and dealt with Vendor Networking trouble issues and dispatched technicians for joint meets. Bastian also responded to emergency services when a critical system is offline or in need to servicing. In 2019, they worked as a Database Technician at the Illinois State Water Survey, where they set up and monitored database backups, space requirements, and consistency checks, provided query analysis, routine maintenance, and performance tuning for existing databases, analyzed information requirements and developed specifications for database efficiency, safety of information and utilization of the new technology, and installed and configured hardware for new databases. Currently, they are a Technical Support Engineer at Legwork.

Bastian Sanchez began their educational journey in 2012 when they attended Lincoln Park High School, graduating with a High School degree and a Graphic Design/Art major within IBCP (International Bachelories Career Programme) in 2016. After graduating, Bastian Sanchez attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science in 2021.
