Michael N. Minear

SVP and Chief Information Officer at Lehigh Valley Health Network

Michael Minear is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), a position he has held since 2015. He provides leadership and oversight of information and clinical technology for LVHN, implementation and optimization of the Epic electronic health record system, and management of LVHN technology infrastructure and security.

Mr. Minear has nearly 40 years of experience in the health care industry. He previously served as Chief Information Officer at four large health care organizations, including three academic medical centers.

Mr. Minear earned a Master of Science in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University. He has a Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Informatics from Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine, and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa.

Mr. Minear also serves as Associate Faculty Member (part time) for John Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. He was in the first group of health care executives in the nation to be credentialed as a Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). He is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS), sponsored by the Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society (HIMSS), of which he is a member.
