Joe Brittain has a diverse range of work experience in the art and design industry. Joe has worked as the Director of Operations and Exhibitions at Lehmann Maupin since 2015, where they organize exhibitions and art fairs and collaborates with artists. Prior to that, they worked as an Artist and Art Project Manager, specializing in sculptural design and fabrication. Joe also served as the Director of Exhibitions at Michael Werner Gallery, managing various installations and organizing art fairs. Additionally, Joe worked as a Studio Manager and Fabrication Consultant for the Studio of Diana Al-Hadid, and as a Studio Manager for Roger Black Studio and Parallax Studios.

Joe Brittain attended the University at Buffalo from 1999 to 2003, where they studied Art History, Criticism, and Conservation. Joe was a member of the Honor's Society and pursued a double major in Art History and Studio Practice. In March 2020, Joe obtained a certification called "Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World (Blinkist Summary)" from LinkedIn.
