Eloy Hernandez is a Detector Systems Engineer and Instrumentation Scientist at the Leibniz-Institut für Astrophysik Potsdam (AIP) since April 2014, focusing on the development of a cryogenic near-infrared spectrograph, multimode fibre simulation environments, and characterization of near-infrared detectors. Prior experiences include roles as a Research Engineer specializing in multi-channel spectroscopy, a Research and Development Engineer at Charité, and positions at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute and Berliner Glas KGaA, where technologies for fiber monitoring and light sources were developed. Eloy Hernandez holds a Ph.D. in Photonics from the University of Potsdam and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Technology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
