Tales de Vargas Lisbôa is a highly experienced research professional with a strong background in solid mechanics and polymer analysis. Currently serving as a Research Assistant and Guest Researcher at the Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden since June 2019, Tales has also contributed as a Reviewer for the Latin American Journal of Solids and Structures since March 2014. Previous roles include Project Researcher, Post-doctorate Researcher, Substitute Professor, and Technical Advisor, primarily focused on the mechanical properties of materials and educational instruction. Tales has extensive academic training with multiple degrees in Solid Mechanics and Applied Mathematics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Additionally, practical experience spans various engineering roles, including research and consulting projects at Globo Engenharia Ltda. and earlier internships in mechanical engineering.
