Robert Lee

Robert Lee serves as the Business Development and Artistic Director at Simmer Down Arts as of April 2023, while also holding the position of Sales and Marketing Specialist for the Annual Universal Reggae Awards since January 2023. Lee has extensive experience in management, currently working with Chaka Demus and Pliers since July 2022, and as the Director of Educational Programmes at the AP Foundation since February 2020. In academia, Lee has been a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire since July 2006, focusing on Arts and Events Management, and previously contributed to the Diversity Arts Incubation Programme at Luton University. Additional roles include Sessional Trainer at the Emerald Centre, Board Member with Aakash Odedra Company, Independent Consultant at People Express - Art Center, and Consultant for Mykal Rose. Lee has also served as a Tutor Assessor at Leicester College since September 2016 and possesses educational qualifications from Jamaica School of Art and The Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts from 1975 to 1980.
