Naeff Judith

Naeff Judith currently serves as the Mede-hoofdredacteur at ZemZem since January 2022 and holds the position of Universitair docent at Universiteit Leiden since August 2017, specializing as an Assistant Professor in Cultural Studies of the Middle East. Prior experience includes roles as a Lecturer in Visual Culture at Radboud University (January 2016 - August 2017), a PhD Fellow at the University of Amsterdam (September 2011 - October 2016), and various lecturer positions in Literary Studies and Arabic at University College Utrecht and Hogeschool van Amsterdam. Naeff's teaching experience began with a role as a Teacher of Arabic (fusha) for Beginners at Volksuniversiteit Alkmaar. A translator for AICA/AOT Translation agency from 2006 to 2011, Naeff holds a PhD in Cultural Analysis from the University of Amsterdam and multiple degrees in Arabic Language and Culture as well as Literary Studies.
