Derek Horan

Derek Horan is a civil engineer with extensive experience in municipal engineering roles, currently serving as an Engineer at Leitrim County Council since September 2023. Prior to this position, Horan worked at Sligo County Council and Dublin City Council, accumulating valuable expertise in engineering projects from July 2018 to September 2023. Additional experience includes Project Engineer roles at Barnmore Demolition & Civil Engineering and Jons Civil Engineering, alongside earlier positions at PDi Ltd and J. Murphy & Sons Limited where Horan held Site Manager responsibilities. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Civil Engineering from the University of Aberdeen and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) from the Institute of Technology, Sligo.
