Sett Wai

Sett Wai is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Engineering Lead at Lelapa AI since May 2024, where responsibilities include overseeing engineering planning, execution, and delivery. Previously, Sett held the position of Lead Software Engineer and Head of Technology at WeThinkCode from April 2020 to October 2023, leading software development initiatives for the institution's Learning Management System. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at the National Research Foundation of South Africa, contributing to the MeerKAT radio telescope's software deployment and involvement in the Square Kilometre Array project. Sett also worked at ThoughtWorks in various capacities, starting as a Junior Software Developer and progressing to Lead Developer, contributing to significant projects across different sectors. Sett earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Science (Multimedia) from the University of Pretoria in 2010.
