Senior Principle Systems Engineer at Leonardo DRS

Brian Haupt is a Senior Principal Systems Engineer and Chief Engineer for Airborne Systems at Leonardo DRS since October 2013. Haupt leads the Altitude Hold & Hover Stabilization System (AHHS) project, enhancing flight safety and operational capability for various helicopters. Prior to this role, Haupt served as a Principal Systems Engineer at BAE Systems from May 1997 to October 2013, where responsibilities included acting as Technical Architect for the Bell 525 Relentless FBW Flight Control Computer and the QF-16 Flight Control Computer programs. Earlier experience includes an engineering position at ITT Flowtronex focusing on electrical design for irrigation pumping stations. Haupt holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with an Electrical Concentration from LeTourneau University, earned between 1990 and 1994.
