Chad Burns

Chad Burns is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in advanced concepts and systems engineering, currently serving as a Senior Principal Advanced Concepts Engineer at Leonardo DRS since October 2018, where responsibilities include acting as an AI Applications Engineer and collaborating on projects in AI and ISR. Prior roles at Leonardo DRS include Senior Principal System Engineer and Principal System Engineer, focusing on stabilized sight programs and multimodal image registration solutions. Before their tenure at Leonardo DRS, Chad Burns was a Managing Partner and Director at Burns&CoProductions from 2011 to 2018, contributing to film production and direction. Chad Burns holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
