Eric Zimmerman

Eric Zimmerman is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in firmware and software development, particularly in the fields of embedded systems and renewable energy. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Leonardo DRS since March 2016, Eric has previously held roles as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineering Specialist at Eaton, where expertise in grid-tied solar inverter products was demonstrated. Prior to that, Eric co-founded GrayBox Technologies, contributing to the development of embedded and Windows-based products. Eric's career began at Magnetek, focusing on hardware, firmware, and software design across various applications. Eric holds dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
