Francois Pomerleau is an experienced Embedded Software Architect and Principal Software Engineer at DRS Technologies Canada, serving since May 1993. Pomerleau has led the software design and development of the SHINCOM 3100/SVS, a secure voice communication system utilized by the Canadian Navy, the US Navy, and other international markets. Previously, Pomerleau worked at Mitel from 1988 to 1991 as a Software Designer, contributing to the GX5000 public telephone switching system. Earlier experience includes a role as a Software Designer at DY-4 Systems from 1985 to 1988, where involvement in the development of an Automatic Message Accounting system for the Indonesian Telephone Network took place. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Systems and Computer Engineering from Carleton University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.
