Bill Banas has a diverse work experience in various engineering and teaching roles. Bill is currently working as a GNC/ADCS Engineer at LeoStella since August 2021. Bill also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University at Buffalo School of Engineering and Applied Sciences from August 2003 to December 2004, where they assisted in teaching computer and instrumentation courses. Finally, they worked as an Aviation/Engineering Consultant at Ecology and Environment, Inc. from October 2002 to January 2003, where they analyzed the aviation-related effects of proposed projects.

Bill Banas has an extensive education history. Bill first attended the University at Buffalo from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1988, they briefly attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies, Bill returned to the University at Buffalo from 2003 to 2008. There, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Aerospace Engineering. Bill'seducation journey culminated in obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aerospace Engineering from the University at Buffalo, where they studied from 2008 to 2013.
