Lusanda Mgudu Msc (Oxon)

Lusanda Mgudu MSc (Oxon) has a diverse and extensive work experience background. Currently, they hold the role of Head of Strategic Projects & ESG at Lesaka Technologies Inc., starting in December 2021.

Prior to their current role, Lusanda worked as a Manager - Capital Projects & Infrastructure at PwC South Africa from May 2019 to October 2019.

From January 2017 to November 2018, they were a Programme Manager - Capital Projects as part of the Future Leaders Programme at bp. Additionally, they served as the Plant Engineering Manager at BP's Gauteng storage and handling terminal (tank farm) from July 2015 to December 2016. In this role, they were responsible for the overall reliability, availability, and maintenance of the plant, as well as capital projects.

Before joining bp, Lusanda worked at the National Skills Fund from January 2015 to June 2015, where they served as an Assistant Director: Bursaries.

Lusanda'searlier work experience includes roles at VWG Consulting as a Resource Efficiency Engineer from July 2014 to December 2014, at Professional Process Consultants as a Process Design Engineer from January 2013 to June 2013, at Afrox as a Process Engineer from January 2012 to December 2012, and at Schlumberger as an Oilfield Specialist - Drilling & Measurement from February 2007 to December 2010.

Lusanda Mgudu MSc (Oxon) has an extensive education history. Lusanda obtained their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Major Programme Management from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in 2019. Prior to that, in 2014, they completed their Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Engineering Management at the University of Johannesburg. Lusanda had previously attained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution in 2011. Lusanda began their academic journey by completing a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2007. Lusanda finished their secondary education by obtaining their Matric from Little Flower School (Ixopo) in 2002. Lusanda Mgudu also holds a certification in Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services, obtained in August 2021.
