Avni Santani

Avni Santani is the Chief Genomics Officer at LetsGetChecked since January 2023 and the Founder of Opus Genomics since August 2020. Previously, Avni served as the Chief Medical Officer at Veritas Genetics from July 2020 to June 2023 and as an Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania from July 2018 to July 2020. Avni also held the position of Director at the Center for Applied Genomics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia from February 2007 to July 2020, overseeing clinical genomics strategy and multiple high-throughput laboratories. Educational credentials include a PhD in Genetics from Texas A&M University, a Master's in Medical Molecular Genetics from the University of Aberdeen, and completion of clinical residency programs in Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
