William Nissler

William Nissler has a strong background in cybersecurity, with a focus on infrastructure, vulnerability management, and incident response. Their most recent role was as a Senior Security Analyst at Lumin Digital starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as an Infrastructure Lead and Cyber Security Instructor at Level Effect from 2020 to the present, where they demonstrated expertise in cloud security, networking, and endpoint triage. In 2021, they worked as a Security Engineer at Uplight, where they built and implemented a vulnerability management program. Before that, they were a Service Center Operator & vSysAdmin at DeNOVO Solutions, LLC from 2020 to 2021, specializing in system administration and information technology management. William began their career in the US Navy as a Multi-Disciplined Cryptologic Linguist from 2014 to 2020.

William Nissler obtained an Associate's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in 2014. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including the GIAC Advisory Board certification from the SANS Technology Institute in August 2022, the GIAC Public Cloud Security (GPCS) certification from the same institution in December 2022, the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification in October 2022, the GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) certification in September 2022, the GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT) certification in August 2022, the Splunk Core Certified User certification from Splunk in September 2020, the CompTIA A+ certification from CompTIA in June 2020, and the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from the same institution in August 2020.
