Dwayne Mays has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Dwayne began their career in 2006 as a Human Resources Specialist in the US Army. During their time in the army, they also served as a Military Police officer and Observer Warrior Trainer. In 2007, they joined AirTran Airways as a Customer Service Agent and later took on the role of Operational Specialist. From 2007 to 2022, they worked as a Flight Attendant for Southwest Airlines. In 2021, they briefly worked as a Computer Operator Associate at Fiserv. Currently, they are employed at Levy Restaurants, where they have held various roles including Suite Attendant, Human Resources Coordinator, and currently serves as a Human Resource Manager.

Dwayne Mays has a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science from Morris College, which they obtained in the years leading up to 2004. In 2010, they enrolled at Devry, where they pursued a degree in Technical Management with a focus on Project Management. Dwayne completed this program in 2012. Additionally, Dwayne Mays pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources at DeVry University, where they studied until 2011. Prior to these educational pursuits, they also attended Morris College and earned a BS in Health Science between 1999 and 2004.
