Kyle W. Kellar

As a member of Lewis Roca’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, Kyle Kellar’s practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property prosecution and enforcement. Kyle has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patents in a broad array of technologies and for large and small entities. He also has experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in district court proceedings, including in appellate proceedings before the Federal Circuit.

Leveraging his experience in both prosecution and litigation, Kyle enjoys counseling startup clients in all of their intellectual property needs, from freedom to operate studies to trademark and patent protection and enforcement. Applying these same skills, Kyle is able to cost-effectively respond to cease-and-desist letters, minimizing business disruptions.

Kyle is also a member of the firm’s Inter Partes Review (IPR) team and frequently represents clients in IPR proceedings.

While attending Pepperdine Law School, Kyle was a law clerk at a boutique civil litigation firm in downtown Los Angeles, where he assisted with intellectual property matters and general business litigation. He also received his Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution while attending Pepperdine.

Prior to attending law school, Kyle earned his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering. While in school, Kyle worked for Faurecia Interior Systems, where he assisted with the design and manufacture of automotive interiors for companies, including Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz. Outside of the office, Kyle has an interest in muscle cars and traveling.
