Russell Patterson

Russell Patterson has a diverse work experience spanning across different industries. Russell currently holds a role as the Medical Science and Outcomes Lead at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. starting from June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Novartis for several years, initially as a Medical Science Liaison from March 2016 to December 2021, and then as a Value Evidence Lead from January 2021 to June 2023. In their earlier years, they worked at UAB Medical West, where they served as a Hospital Pharmacist from June 1997 to April 2004, and later as the Director of Pharmacy from April 2004 to March 2016.

Russell Patterson completed their undergraduate education at Samford University from 1991 to 1993, majoring in PrePharmacy. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree at Samford University's McWhorter School of Pharmacy from 1993 to 1997.
