Jacob Song

Jacob Song is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Head of Emerging Technology at LG Electronics USA since May 2013. Notable contributions include leading the Future Experience Engineering team within LG's North America R&D Center, where Jacob successfully delivered the Interactive Digital Board 2.0 software for the webOS platform. Prior roles include Development Expert/Architect at SAP, where Jacob worked in cloud management, and Sr Software Engineer at Microsoft, where Jacob developed mobile services for the Kin platform. Jacob's career also includes positions at Danger Inc, where Jacob contributed to the Sidekick smartphone service, and Everypath Inc, focusing on mobile server developments. Jacob holds a BA and M.S. in Computer Science from Seoul National University and is a PhD candidate in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, complemented by executive education from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
