Ben Knowles

Ben Knowles is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in local government and media. Currently serving as an Executive Committee Member and Treasurer at LGcomms since April 2016, Ben also holds the position of Director of Communications, Culture, and Engagement at the London Borough of Hounslow since December 2019, after previously serving as Assistant Director of Communications, Engagement, and Events. Ben's career includes roles such as Head of External Communications and Deputy Head of Communications and Consultation at the London Borough of Hackney, as well as a Senior Media Relations Officer at the Local Government Association. Earlier experience includes positions as News Editor at Gloucestershire Media and Senior Reporter at Banbury Guardian. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology from Cardiff University, completed from 1998 to 2001, and attended Littleover Community School in Derby from 1990 to 1995.
