Chris Balmer

Chris Balmer's work experience includes various roles at different companies in the energy sector. Chris started their career in 1990 as a Market Strategist/Natural Gas Transportation Specialist at EnTrade Corporation. From 1993 to 1996, they held Various Commercial and Operational Positions at Tenneco Gas Marketing. In 1996, they became the Manager of Structuring & Optimization at PennUnion Energy Services. Chris then joined LG&E & KU in 1997 as a Trader/On-Desk Origination and later became the Manager of Trading. In 2011, they were promoted to Manager of Fuels Risk Management and then became the Director of Transmission Strategy & Planning. Chris has been in this role at LG&E & KU since 2011.

Chris Balmer attended Silver Creek High School from 1980 to 1984. Chris then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Indiana University Southeast, graduating in 1988.
