Des Delaney

Des Delaney is an accomplished research professional with extensive experience in academia and public service. Currently serving as a Research Officer at the Local Government Management Agency since May 2022, Des leads key research initiatives, including public service surveys, with a focus on data analysis using SPSS and Excel. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher on the H2020 GENRE project at Dublin City University, and authoring the book "The Lived Experiences of Muslims in Europe: Recognition, Power, and Intersubjective Dilemmas." Des has also held administrative positions at ESB International and ESB Poolbeg Station, where responsibilities included financial management and ethical procurement. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Sociology and Philosophy, an MA in Political Communication, and a BA in Media Production and Management, all from Dublin City University.
