James Rapka

James Rapka is an experienced Electronic System Design Engineer with a career spanning over four decades in the telecommunications and optical networking industries. Currently employed at LGS Innovations since February 2016, James focuses on designing electronics for free-space optical transmitters and receivers. Previous roles include significant contributions to 100G optical transceivers at JDSU, 40G QSFP+ and 10G XFP modules at Acionyx/Opnext, and principal design work on a 1.25 Gbps Fiber to the Home Optical Network Unit at Opnext, Inc. James's expertise is underscored by a proven track record of success with leading companies such as Lucent Technologies and Bell Labs, where innovative designs of echo canceller systems contributed significantly to departmental revenue. James holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University.
