Samuel Weissen

Samuel Weissen has a diverse work experience in the finance and investment industry. Samuel began their career at Bank J. Safra Sarasin Ltd, where they worked as a Junior Accountant and completed an apprenticeship. Samuel then joined Bank Vontobel AG as an Analyst in Investment Banking. Later, they worked at Private Client Bank AG as an Analyst in Portfolio Management. In 2015, Samuel joined StepStone Group as an Analyst, eventually progressing to the role of Senior Associate in Private Debt & Liquid Alternatives. In 2017, they joined LGT Capital Partners as an Associate - Portfolio Manager, Alternatives, and steadily advanced to roles of increasing responsibility, including Associate Director and Portfolio Manager. Concurrently, Samuel served as a Guest Lecturer in Liquid Alternatives at both Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts as well as The University of Applied Sciences HTW Chur. Overall, Samuel Weissen has demonstrated expertise in portfolio management, private debt, and liquid alternatives throughout their career.

Samuel Weissen has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Administration from HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich, which they obtained from 2012 to 2016. Their next educational achievement is a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Didactics in Higher Education from the University of St.Gallen, which they pursued from 2020 to 2022. Recently, from 2019 to 2021, Samuel pursued a Masters of Science (M.Sc.) in Finance (post-experience) from the London Business School. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including FRM - Certified Financial Risk Manager, CFA - Chartered Financial Analyst, and CAIA - Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
